Monday show important commentary
Just to be clear since this is our first entry, this blog is a She said/She said something too blog discussing Oprah’s show. I would like to also add the disclaimer that I hadn’t read Kate’s entry before I wrote mine, so I wasn’t taking shots at my lovely fellow Oprah blogger! End of disclaimer.
I have a feeling that this blog will mostly serve as a statistical way for me to note the times that I don’t cry and say, “That’s so nice!” while watching Oprah. On those days unless she has a celebrity guest on I think I should seek psychological help because only a person made of stone could steel themselves from the enormous heart that is Oprah! Excuse me, I’m not supposed to cry when she has a blind woman on who went to Nepal on horseback (“the horse can see” said the woman) to save blind children from shame and prejudice? Oh, okay well if that didn’t get me she has to throw in a former model who now saves terminally ill patients from going through their plight alone? Sure they also filled me with a feeling inferiority but they made me cry and that’s what’s important. No, I’m not sure why.
But my favorite part at the show had nothing to do with the tears. It was Oprah walked out and announced that she was on the cover of some magazine (who pays attention anymore, she’s everywhere) for being the most influential woman (ever? I don’t know. Probably) and then? Did a jig. Oprah did a jig like I do in my head when I win Pictionary (I suppress the urge to actually DO it, have I not demonstrated already that I am not heartless?) when she’s on the cover of a magazine. Hopefully tomorrow she’ll have tom cruise on so I can regain some composure and mock someone.
